Second Chance Roadshow rolls into Queenstown and Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape, 29 June 2018

The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Saturday 30 June and Sunday 01 July 2018 take the Departments #SecondChance Matric Support Programme Roadshow to Queenstown and Mdantsane respectively in the Eastern Cape Province.

Through the Second Chance Programme, the Department of Basic Education is inviting all candidates who have previously not met the requirements of the National Senior Certificate to take advantage of the specially designed #SecondChance Matric Support Programme.

The Programme can also benefit those presently in Grade 12 as it designed to provide support to matric candidates in general.

The Minister will use this opportunity to encourage community members and potential candidates to make use of the specially designed #SecondChance program whose mandate is to ensure that more South Africans are given an opportunity to attain a Matric Certificate.

Members of the media are invited to attend the Eastern Cape Second Chance Roadshows as follows:

Queenstown:

Date:       Tomorrow, Saturday 30 June 2018

Venue:    Thobi Kula Indoor Sports Centre, Queenstown

 

Mdantsane:

Date:       Sunday 01 July 2018

Time:       12h00

Venue:    Rubusana District Hall, Mdantsane, East London
