DBE invites candidates to use e-registration to register for the 2019 Senior Certificate exams before 11 September deadline, 05 September 2019
The Department of Basic Education invites all Senior Certificate (SC) candidates who wrote and did not pass in the May/June 2019 examinations to register for another opportunity to sit for the exams. The deadline for registration is 11 September 2019.
These examinations will sit in Oct/Nov 2019 and will give candidates a Second Chance to get their matric certificate. This opportunity is only for those candidates who either registered for the Senior Certificate (SC) June 2019 examinations but due to valid reasons did not write or wrote but failed the Senior Certificate (SC) June 2019 examinations.
Learners can visit https://www.education.gov.za/Curriculum/SeniorCertificate/eRegistrationforSC(a).aspx for procedures and guidelines on how to use the online registration system, as well as the link to the online registration portal.
We encourage those who are interested to not leave it to the last minute to apply as the Department will not be able to accommodate an extension of the registration period due to logistical reasons.
Once registered, candidates may use a number of online resources available on our website (www.education.gov.za/secondchance) to assist with their studies and give them the best possible chance of success.
