Education takes centre stage at Mandela Day activities in Mvezo

 

Nelson Mandela International Day (or Mandela Day) is an annual international day in honour of President Mandela which encourages all global citizens to take responsibility of improving each other’s lives and addressing the world’s social injustices.

 

Planned activities for Mandela Day include reinforcing the existing parameter fence, a cleaning campaign and the planting of 67 Umkhanyakude trees at the school will proceed as planned.

This year the theme focuses on education. 

 

The Minister of Basic Education, Ms Angie Motshekga, will lead proceedings at the Mandela Day celebrations in Mvezo, Eastern Cape.
