Basic Education Deputy Minister to handover mobile library to Ned Doman High School in Athlone, 16 January 2017

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Mr Enver Surty will tomorrow, Tuesday, 17 January 2017 visit Ned Doman High School in Athlone, Cape Town. As part of the visit the Deputy Minister will hand-over a mobile library as the department strengthens its support to schools as part of the Lead to Read Campaign.

The visit by the Deputy Minister follows visits by the Ministry to schools across the Free State, North West, Gauteng and Mpumalanga as part of the ‘Departments’ #schoolreadiness visits.

The visits will also focus on amongst other aspects the delivery of LTSM (Learner and Teacher Support Material), adherence to teaching and learning and will also include a meeting with the respective schools management teams to assess challenges and entrench the school improvement programs.
