Vaal University of Technology to host 2018 Kay Motsepe Schools Cup National Netball Championships, 23 August 2018

The 2018 Kay Motsepe School Cup National Netball Championships will kick off on Friday, 24 August 2018 at the Vaal University of Technology in Vanderbijlpark. The Netball Championships are part of the joint school sport programme launched in 2016 between the Department of Basic Education and the Motsepe Foundation.  

The 2018 Edition will see thirty six (36) netball teams compete for the National Title and the opportunity to represent the country at an international Netball tournament in Singapore, with the football championships only set to take place from 02 – 06 October 2018. 

Members of the media are invited to attend the National Championships as follows:

          VENUE:      Vaal University of Technology, Andries Potgieter Blvd, Vanderbijlpark, 1900

TIME:         08h00 to 17h00 daily

DATE:        23-26 August 2018(Thursday – Sunday)

Members of the media are kindly requested to produce their media cards during registration and upon request as the security has been tightened at the games.  The fixture lists, venues and names of participating schools will be posted on the website of the Department of Basic Education (DBE), Motsepe Foundation, South African Football Association (SAFA) and South African School Netball (SASN).
