Minister Motshekga to celebrate the Centenary of Mama Sisulu - A Woman of Fortitude, 10 September 2018

Basic Education Minister Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Tuesday, 11 September 2018 continue to mark the centenary of struggle icon Mama Albertina Sisulu and the formation of the Bantu Women’s League under the theme “A Woman of Fortitude: Be the Legacy in Moving South Africa Forward”.

 

The Department of Basic Education aims to highlight the strong credentials of women’s struggle icons in South Africa and pay tribute to those, past and present whose struggles laid the foundations for women’s rights and democracy enjoyed today.

                        

Minister of Department of International Relations Ms Lindiwe Sisulu will also speak on the “The Life and Legacy of Mama Nontsikelelo Sisulu           “.
