Angelina Matsie Motshekga, Minister of Basic Education, after consultation with the Council of Education Ministers and in terms of sections 3(4) of the National Education Policy Act, 1996 ( Act No. 27 of 1996) read in conjunction with section 51 of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996), hereby gives her intention to amend Section 4 of the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement for Grades R-12 and Section 3 of certain subjects as set out in the documents below. In view of this, she invites stakeholder bodies and members of the public to comment on the relevant changes as set out in the documents below.
