The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga, Deputy Minister, Dr Reginah Mhaule and the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT) will join hands with 10 school communities in Katlehong to celebrate Mandela Month activities on Saturday, 27 July 2019.

The planned activities include cleaning, painting and gardening. Schools with vegetable patches will receive seeds.
The programme will then move to the Ntuthuko Central Hall for the Second Chance Matric Support Programme and Read to Lead Campaign exhibition. The minister will address the community and share info on how they can be part of the Read to Lead Campaign and encourage out of school youth, who still want to write their matric to register with the Second Chance Programme.
