The Electoral Commission is once again partnering with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) to host the 6th annual Schools Democracy Week programme to educate young people about electoral democracy. The for this year’s democracy week is “Be the legacy: strengthen our democracy through voting”.
The programme will roll out in selected public schools throughout South Africa from 23 to 27 April 2018 in the week when South Africa celebrates Freedom Day and 24 years of democracy.
