Department of Basic Education takes Education Imbizo Week to Sebokeng, Gauteng, 20 April 2017

The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga and Gauteng Education MEC Mr Panyaza Lesufi will tomorrow, Friday 21 April 2016 host an Education Imbizo as part of National Imbizo Week at the Sedibeng West Education District Offices in Sebokeng.

As a program endorsed by Cabinet, National Imbizo Week has will take place from 17-23 April 2017 and will see the department interacting with parents and school communities under the theme: “Together we move South Africa forward: Our Future – Make it work.” 

The Imbizo is aimed at fostering better relations with communities and will include oversight visits by the MEC to Kgokare and Sehopotso High Schools in Sebokeng prior to the commencement of the Imbizo.

Members of the media are invited to attend the Education Imbizo by the Minister and the school oversight visits as follows:
