Minister of Basic Education Launches The Hospitality Studies Digital Curriculum Project With Sun International in Tembisa, 18 April 2017

The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Wednesday, 19 April 2017 launch the Hospitality Studies Digital Curriculum Project in partnership with Sun International at Tembisa High School in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. The theme of the project is “21st Century Education for 21st Century Hoteliers”

The Hospitality Studies Digital Curriculum Project develops digital content of Hospitality Studies for grades 10,11 and 12 that will be accessible to anyone from teachers to learners from anywhere in the country. The project is aimed at improving pedagogy, resources and results using digital technology as well as ignite interest and improve shortage in institutions which offers hospitality as a subject.

The minister will be joined at the launch by the MEC of Education in Gauteng Mr Panyaza Lesufi, CEO of Sun International and senior managers from partners including local leaders and education officials.
