ASIDI program to hand over R20 million Mawonga Primary School in Qumbu, 09 June 2016

The Department of Basic Education’s ASIDI Programme will tomorrow, Friday 10 June 2016, continue to delivery of newly build schools with the official hand-over of Mawonga Primary School in Qumbu, Eastern Cape.

The new Mawonga Primary School is another successful delivery of a state of the art school built under the ASIDI programme. The school, located in the Mhlontlo Municipality of Qumbu, will be fully furnished with a science laboratory, media and resource, Grade R and Nutrition centre was  built at a cost of R20 Million.

With 162 schools completed as part of the programme, ASIDI continues to play a vital role in eradicating mud schools and restore the dignity to rural education.

Members of the Media are invited to witness the hand-over and will be afforded interview opportunities as follows:
