Department of Basic Education and Game partner to deliver Mobile Kitchens, 29 May 2016

The Minister of Basic Education Mrs Angie Motshekga AND Limpopo MEC for Education Mr  Ishmael Kgetjepe will tomorrow, Monday 30 May 2016 receive a mobile kitchen donated to Phutikwena Primary School in the Sekhukhune District of Limpopo as part of the GAME, ‘’Amalunchbox’’ campaign.

Through the partnership the department and GAME have since 2009 supplied schools with converted shipping containers that have been adapted into fully equipped kitchens and in so doing made a meaningful contribution to disadvantaged schools nationwide.

These mobile kitchens play an integral role in supporting and strengthening the delivery of the departments National School Nutrition Programme (NSNP), which sees more than 9 million learners receive a healthy nutritious meal at school daily.
