Handover of Sophumelela Secondary School continues Western Cape ASIDI rollout, 23 October 2014

 

The Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga will on Saturday 25 October 2014 handover Sophumelela Secondary School in Philippi, Cape Town as part of the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative, ASIDI.

 

With a total of 23 schools completed in the Eastern Cape, six completed in the Western Cape and one school completed in Mpumalanga to date, ASIDI continues to make headway in the creation of learning spaces of excellence.

As a national infrastructure delivery initiative, ASIDI has already opened four schools in the Western Cape as it continues to eradicate mud, plankie and other schools built from inappropriate materials.
