Minister Motshekga Sends Condolences To Families Of Learners Who Drowned In Motor Vehicle Tragedy, 13 May 2014

The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga sends her heartfelt condolences to the families of the five learners who tragically lost their lives in a horrific motor vehicle accident in KwaZulu-Natal on Monday.

“This is a traumatic experience for any family to have to deal with and an unnecessary loss of young potential. Our hearts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones, and we wish those in hospital a speedy recovery,” said Motshekga.

The Provincial Education Department, led by MEC Peggy Nkonyeni has visited the learners recovering in hospital and will continue to offer support to those who have lost children.

The relevant transport authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
