Basic Education Ministry visits schools across the country as part of provicial school readiness visits, 14 January 2020

The Minister and Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga and Dr Reginah Mhaule will tomorrow, Wednesday, 15 January 2020 visit schools in Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal respectively. This forms part of the department’s #schoolreadiness and #backtoschool oversight and monitoring visits. 

The Department of Basic Education officials assess the readiness of schools at the beginning of the academic calendar in order to advance any form of assistance from the earliest possible point in the year. 

The visits will also focus on amongst other aspects the delivery of Learner and Teacher Support Materials (LTSM, adherence to teaching and learning from the 1st day of school including a meeting with school management teams to assess challenges and entrench the school improvement programs from the first day of school.
