Free State MEC continues ASIDI delivery with the official hand-overs of Ntsu Secondary and Bethlehem Combined Schools, 15 July 2016

The MEC of Education, Mr Tate Makgoe, through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Delivery Initiative (ASIDI) of the Department of Basic Education will on Monday 18 July 2016 continue to deliver sustainable change to rural and urban underprivileged education with the official hand-overs of Ntsu Secondary and Bethlehem Combined Schools in Bethlehem, Free State. The MEC will be joined at the hand-over by the Premier of the Free State, Mr Ace Magashule.

Built at costs of R53 million and 65 Million respectively, Bethlehem Combined and NTSU Secondary Schools have been built as part of the Department’s flagship ASIDI project, forming part of the R8.2-billion programme whose mandate is the eradication of schools built from inappropriate material and to provide the basic services of water, sanitation and electricity to those schools that previously had none.

Having celebrated the landmark 100th ASIDI school hand-over in the Free State with the hand-over of Dorrington Matsepe in April 2015, the ASIDI program will hand-over two state of the art schools to the community of Bethlehem on this, a day that the world celebrates International Mandela Day.
