Deputy Minister Surty to hand-over of R60 Million Silverstream Primary School In Manenberg, 07 November 2016

The Deputy Minister of Basic Education, Mr Enver Surty will on Wednesday 09 November 2016 through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative (ASIDI), hand over Silverstream Primary School in Manenberg, Western Cape.

The R 60million School is one of 170 completed nationally as part of the ASIDI programme since 2011 welcoming 968 learners. Furnished with a computer lab, 28 classrooms, a Grade R centre, science laboratory, resource centre as well as a multipurpose hall and nutrition centre where the school serves learners with meals daily.

In addition to the provision of school infrastructure, the initiative has provided water to 615 schools, sanitation to 425 schools as well as electricity to 307 schools that previous.
