Minister Motshekga to handover ASIDI school number 99, 27 March 2015

 

The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga will tomorrow, Friday 27 March handover Valhalla Primary School in Cape Town, Western Cape as the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative (ASIDI) marks its 99th school handover.  

 

Built at a cost of R34 Million, the school will welcome its 1036 learners to this state of the art school boasting 32 Classrooms, a library and science laboratory.  ASIDI is a massive R8.2-billion public-private partnership programme and one of the Government's Strategic Infrastructure Projects (SIPs) as part of the broader Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission (PICC). ASIDI aims to replace some 510 schools in the country built from inappropriate materials.
