Minister Motshekga to visit injured MP’s in hospital, 03 August 2017

The Minister of Basic Education, Mrs Angie Motshekga will, tomorrow (Friday) visit injured members of Parliament’s Basic Education Portfolio Committee in the hospital.

The Chairperson of the Committee, Mrs Nomalungelo Gina and MP, Mrs Cynthia Majeke are still in hospital in a serious condition after Wednesday’s fatal crash that took the life of MP Timothy Khoza. MP, Ian Ollis has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

The Minister will visit MP Majeke at Paarl Medi-Clinic in Paarl at approximately 11h00 after which she will visit MP Gina back in Cape Town at the Netcare UCT Private Academic Hospital at approximately 13h30.

Media will not be allowed into the wards of these hospitals as both MP’s are still currently in the Intensive Care Units (ICU), however, the Minister will be able to speak to media at the Netcare UCT Private Academic Hospital after her visit.
