Department of Basic Education to hand-over R42 million ASIDI school in Qumbu, Eastern Cape, 14 August 2017
The Department of Basic Education will tomorrow, Tuesday 15 August 2017 through the Accelerated Schools Infrastructure Development Initiative (ASIDI), hand-over Dweba Senior Secondary School outside Qumbu in the Eastern Cape. Mr Mpumelelo Saziwa, Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature will deliver the Keynote Address.
This R 42 Million School is one of 134 state-of-the-art schools built in the Eastern Cape as part of the ASIDI Programme. In addition to the provision of infrastructure, the ASIDI Programme has provided water to 619 schools, sanitation to 445 schools as well as electricity to 307 schools across the country that previously had none.
