ASIDI continues to deliver change to rural education with the handover of Bhekisizwe Primary in Mqanduli, 09 November 2017

The Department of Basic Education’s ASIDI Programme will tomorrow Friday 10 November 2017, continue to provide sustainable change to rural education with the official hand-over of Bhekisiwe Primary School outside Mqanduli, Eastern Cape. Councillor of the King Sabatha Dalinyebo Municipality Mr Dumani Zozo will deliver the Keynote Address.

Together with provincial infrastructure programmes, ASIDI forms a critical component of SIP13 as well as the national school build programme of the Presidential Infrastructure Coordinating Commission (PICC).  

With the hand-over of this R 28 Million school ASIDI continues to play a vital role in eradicating mud schools and in so doing, restoring dignity to rural education.

Members of the Media are invited to witness the hand-over and will be afforded interviews as follows:
