Basic Education Minister takes Second Chance Matric Support Program Roadshow to the Free State, 10 August 2018
The Basic Education Minister, Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 August 2018 take the Department’s #SecondChance Roadshow to two communities in the Free State Province.
The Minister will use this opportunity to encourage the communities of Botshabelo and Welkom and all their potential candidates to make use of the specially designed #SecondChance Matric Support Program to ensure that they take full advantage of the free opportunity to attain a Matric Certificate.
Through the Second Chance Programme, the Department of Basic Education is inviting all candidates who have previously not met the requirements of the National Senior Certificate as well as those currently in matric to take advantage of the specially designed #SecondChance Matric Support Programme. In addition to examination tools, support is provided to candidates wishing to improve their matric results for further studies or for those who have opted to write the NSC examinations on a part-time basis.
