Basic Education Director-General Mr Mathanzima Mweli, this week, continued his visits to education districts and schools in the KwaZulu-Natal Province as part of his Learner Support Programme. Mr Mweli visited the Umlazi District on 10 March; the Pinetown District on 11 March; the iLembe District on 13 March; and the Umgungundlovu District on 14 March 2025.

During these visits, Mr Mweli celebrates and acknowledges the achievements of education districts, and motivates School Management Teams, Circuit Managers, GET and FET Subject Advisors and District Directors to continue with their Learner Support Programmes.

Mr Mweli also meets with the Class of 2025 to share words of wisdom and motivation for them to outperform the Class of 2024.  Mr Mweli shared five golden nuggets with the Class of 2025 to encourage and motivate them to perform even better than the Class of 2024.
