Basic Education Minister takes Second Chance Matric Support Program Roadshow to East London, Eastern Cape, 08 February 2019

Basic Education Minister, Mrs Angie Motshekga will on Saturday, 07 February 2019 2018 take the Department’s #SecondChance Matric Support Roadshow to the Phumlani Hall, in Needs Camp, East London.

Through the Second Chance Matric Support Programme, the Department of Basic Education is inviting all candidates who have previously not met the requirements of the National Senior Certificate as well as those currently in matric to take advantage of the specially designed Matric Support Programme.

For those who have been considering registering for the mid-year examination opportunity, time is running out. Registration for this second chance opportunity to write or rewrite the Matric examinations that this deadline has been extended to 15 February 2019. As the Department of Basic Education we would encourage all learners who want to take up this opportunity to go to their nearest district office to register.  

This examination is intended for those learners who have not completed their matric, but also those who want to improve their results and write a supplementary examination as well as those who failed their matric.
