Thousands of young choristers from across the country will converge for the National Finals of the 2015 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE), which will be held from 30th June – 02 July 2015 at the Rhema Bible Church in Randburg, Johannesburg. This year the theme for the Eisteddfod is “Celebrating 60 Years of the Freedom Charter through Music”.
This year, SASCE, now in its 15th year, will also see the return of the Farm School Training Programme that includes Mentorship Programme aimed at ensuring that the Farm School communities are also brought on par with other schools in terms of musical performance. The camp will be hosted Heron Bridge Retreat from Friday, 26 – Sunday, 29 June 2015 and almost 150 learners and teachers will be exposed to very exciting music, leadership and lifeskills programme.
There will be an opening ceremony on Monday, 29 June 2015 at 19h00 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. The opening ceremony will be graced by the President of the Republic Hon J.G Zuma to officially kickstart the 2015 SASCE National Finals.
