Purpose

To provide strategic leadership as well as to monitor and evaluate the National School Nutrition Programme.

Functions

• To develop and monitor the implementation of a Framework on the National School Nutrition Programme;
• To contribute to enhanced learning capacity through school feeding programmes; 
• To promote and support food production and improve food security in school communities;
• To strengthen nutrition education in schools and communities; and 
• To monitor compliance with the DORA and Treasury Regulations.
