National And Provincial Co-Ordination And Administration
 
Purpose

To provide an effective liaison and system coordination support service to the Department.

 
Functions
  • To manage the Department’s liaison with other government Departments, provincial Departments of Education, non-governmental organisations and the public on administrative matters.
  • To manage an effective customer care service and call centre.

  • To provide and manage a one-stop-shop on public enquiries relating to education.

  • To provide professional support to parliamentarians.

  • To manage processes for the compilation of annual school calendars.

  • To manage the collection and collation of specific information as requested by the Minister, the Deputy Minister or the Director-General.

  • To manage ad hoc projects (including investigations and provincial visits).

  • To manage and provide support to the National Education and Training Council.
