As the nation is waiting with bated breath ahead of the announcement of the 2025 National Senior Certificates (NSC) results, the Basic Education Ministry extends its gratitude to the 2025 class for its endurance and resilience towards the completion of Grade 12. The NSC remains a cornerstone in the school calendar since it determines pathways learners should opt for post-secondary school education. According to the registered figures, over 766,543 full time candidates sat for the NSC Examination nationally, whereas 137,018 were part time candidates. Overall registered candidates for the 2025 NSC Examination were over 903,561.
The Basic Education Ministry will officially release the 2025 NSC results at Mosaïek in Randburg, in the Gauteng Province on 12 January 2026.
