Basic Education Director-General, Mr Mathanzima Mweli, this week, visited Marking Centres in the Limpopo and Gauteng Provinces to monitor the marking process. “The DBE is currently engaged in standardisation meetings with chief markers and internal moderators of provinces in preparation for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination marking process, scheduled to take place from 1 to 12 December 2024. Over 55,053 markers have been appointed across all nine provinces and received training at 188 marking centres. The results of the NSC examinations will be announced by the Minister of Basic Education, Ms Siviwe Gwarube, on 13 January 2025,” explained Ms Priscilla Ogunbanjo, Director for Public Examinations.
