Minister Siviwe Gwarube released the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) results on 13 January 2025. The Class of 2024 received a pass rate of 87.3%.
However, examinations do not always go as planned, and candidates wanting to rewrite should apply for the 2025 May/June NSC examination to improve their results or complete outstanding results to qualify for better job opportunities and career pathing, as well as obtain access to bursary opportunities for further studies. NSC candidates must register at their nearest district office. The closing date for applications is 7 February 2025.
Candidates can only register for subjects which they were registered for in any previous November examination and candidates who were absent with a valid reason (medically unfit, death in the immediate family or any other special reasons) from one or more question papers may register for the NSC June examination, provided they have valid paper marks.
The closing date for the re-mark and re-check applications for the 2024 NSC scripts, both manual and online, was 29 January 2025. Results of remarking will be released from 7 March 2025, and will be available at the school / examination centre where the candidate sat for their 2024 examinations
