The Operation Phakisa preparatory workshop was conducted on 10-11 December 2014 bringing together a whole range of stakeholders to participate in the deliberations. The main outputs of the workshop were as follows:

·         Identify key challenges with respect to the 4 key areas viz., ICT in Education, Curriculum provisioning, HR and Teacher development, and Infrastructure delivery.

·         Discuss the state of readiness for the implementation of Big Fast Results Now in Education (BRNEd)

·         Identify key participants linked to the 4 priority areas for BRNEd

·         Identify a suitable time frame for BRNEd
