ARE YOU A PRINCIPAL OF A SCHOOL SEEKING A QUALIFIED SOUTH AFRICAN EDUCATOR?

The Department of Basic Education regularly publishes the National Recruitment Database of Qualified South African Educators. This database is available for download from our website and lists the details of educators who are currently seeking employment across all provinces. The qualifications and subjects which the educator is qualified to teach have been verified and captured accordingly for your peace of mind.  

 

It’s as easy as downloading the spreadsheet of unemployed educators, identifying a suitable candidate and contacting the Department of Basic Education. Keep the reference number of the candidate(s) at hand and call Mr Lazarus Mokoena at 012 -357 3504 or email him at NRD@dbe.gov.za for the contact details of the candidate(s).

Foundation Phase Educators

 

All foundation phase educators are qualified to teach numeracy, literacy and life skills. As such the “majors” (i.e. subjects the educators is qualified to teach) are no indicated.  Only languages have been captured.

 

Type of employment

 

The three types of employment (permanent, temporary and substitute) and whether the educator would be willing to take such a position have been indicated.  Where true = “yes, I would take such a position” and false = “no, I’m not interested in this type of position.
