Basic Education Minister, Mrs Angie Motshekga, will be announcing the results of the 2023 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations at the Mosaïek Church in Randburg on 18 January 2024, at 18:00 in the evening.
After the completion of the marking process during 2023, the DBE, together with PEDs and relevant education stakeholders, embarked on various activities during the month of December and January relating to the standardisation of the results.
The Class of 2023 successfully concluded their final examination paper for the 2023 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination on 6 December 2023.
As has been the tradition, Minister Motshekga will also host the learners and parents for a congratulatory breakfast on the morning of 18 January, whilst Basic Education Director-General, Mr Mathanzima Mweli, will be delivering a technical briefing to unpack the NSC results in greater detail on the same afternoon.
Learners across the various provinces will be able to collect their results from their respective schools on 19 January 2024.
The measures instituted in the administration of the 2023 NSC examination confirm that the Department is committed to offering public examinations that are free from systemic irregularities that could compromise the integrity and credibility of the NSC.
